The equipment of a Liebherr excavator determines what the machine can be used for. A mono boom is for an earthmoving machine, and an industrial boom is mainly used in ports for material handling. A dozer blade or outriggers are almost standard in earthmoving, and a quick coupler is ideal if you frequently switch between different buckets.

A common problem with booms and arms is that these parts crack. They are hollow inside to save weight. A solid steel boom or arm would limit the excavator’s lifting capacity too much. Types of Liebherr booms
Liebherr mono boom
A Liebherr mono equipment is the standard equipment for an excavator. A mono boom is often used for excavation work.
Liebherr industrial boom and industrial stick
A Liebherr industrial boom or industrial stick is suitable for high and far reach. These booms and sticks are longer than mono equipment and usually have a grab attached to the equipment.
Liebherr adjustable boom
A Liebherr adjustable equipment consists of a two-piece boom and a stick so that the length can be adjusted to the situation. It is a more complex component than a mono or industrial boom, but it offers much more flexibility.
Stick
The stick is the part to which the bucket is attached. Together with the boom, the stick ensures that the bucket can be used effectively.
Connecting pieces
A connecting piece is used to connect the equipment and the accessory. This component is located between the stick and the bucket or grab.
