Does your Liebherr have a malfunction?
A malfunction never comes at a convenient time. That’s why, in this blog, we explain how to quickly locate the problem so you can get back to work as soon as possible.
The malfunction notification
Does the machine itself display a notification of the malfunction? An error message on the display is already an indication of where the problem can be found.
Measuring the sensors
Next, check whether the sensors are working properly. You do this by measuring whether the sensors are transmitting information correctly.
Attention! Some transmitters will become defective if you measure them. This applies, for example, to the speed transmitters. This sensor must be measured with a special pressure gauge. Ask your specialist to perform this.
A mechanical failure
Does the computer indicate a malfunction and are all sensors working properly? Then it is probably a mechanical problem. Think of a worn part. Or a part is defective. Read below what you should do in this case.
The hydraulic diagram
Do you have a hydraulic diagram at hand? In it, you will discover where the mechanical malfunction is located. The malfunction indicated on the display gives you an idea of where to look. Check whether the relevant part is worn or defective. Is it getting too difficult? Call one of our specialists and we will help you further.
An electronic malfunction
An electronic malfunction is often related to sensors that do not transmit the correct information. The problem can be resolved by disconnecting the ground. However, this solution is unfortunately often temporary. In the case of a malfunction, it is often necessary to replace or calibrate a sensor. It is also possible that the input or output module is causing problems. Unfortunately, there is almost never a ready-made solution for this problem.
